Warner Music, BMG, and Merlin have officially inked partnership agreements with Pinterest, which is spearheading a music-focused expansion.  Moving forward, Pinterest users will have the option of adding tracks created by the above-noted companies’ artists to their “Idea Pins,” higher-ups emphasized.

Netflix Eyes More Video Games Based On Its Own IP 

Netflix has been in the video game space for close to a year and is doubling down. The streamer, which unveiled its third quarter financial results Tuesday, currently has 35 games on its service with 55 more in development. The latter will also include more games based on its own Netflix IP.

StemDrop aims to act as an incubator for new talent by providing an opportunity for artists from anywhere in the world to collaborate with iconic songwriting talents. The StemDrop Profile will also provide TikTok users and creators a window into the StemDrop process, as new versions of the track from around the world are curated weekly by each of the individual songwriting teams as well as TikTok, Syco, Republic Records and Universal Music Group.

Amazon launches weekly livestream concert series ‘Amazon Music Live’ on Prime Video

As more streaming services explore the livestreaming space, Amazon Prime Video is branching out beyond live sports and introducing a new weekly livestreamed concert series, “Amazon Music Live.” Next Thursday, October 27, at 9 p.m. PT, Amazon will launch the series which features rapper 2 Chainz as the host and performances by artists Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion and Kane Brown.

Germany’s Federal Court of Justice: Pirate Site Blocking Must Be a Tool of Last Resort 

Germany’s Federal Court of Justice has clarified the conditions under which rightsholders can seek site-blocking orders to restrict access to piracy sites. Deutsche Telekom had refused to implement DNS blocking against Sci-Hub and Libgen, arguing that more reasonable options were available to copyright holders. The Court agreed that website blocking should be a last resort.
