Meta informed the U.S. Trade Representative that it built an AI tool to predict whether a live stream is a pirated sports broadcast. The tool is featured in Meta’s rebuttal to this year’s “notorious markets” submissions, which also lists restrictions on Facebook Live. Cloud storage platform Mega, meanwhile, rejects piracy accusations in its rebuttal but acknowledges that its repeat infringer system didn’t work properly for months.
