WarnerMedia’s Math Problem: It Needs 8.4 Million More HBO Max Customers

Analysts try to crunch the complicated economics of diverting billions of dollars of potential theatrical revenue into subscription streaming. MoffettNathanson boils it down this way: AT&T’s WarnerMedia division could lose as much as $1.2 billion in global box office revenue next year because of its decision.
