A new hashtag campaign aims to highlight the disparity in book advances between white and black authors and has garnered well over 1,000 submissions. Among the hundreds of authors who have contributed are Holly Black, Alexander Chee, Roxane Gay, Matt Haig, Kiese Laymon, Nick Robles, John Scalzi, Emily St. John Mandel, Scott Westerfeld, and G. Willow Wilson.
