Songwriters and music publishers could land their second landmark victory under President Donald Trump’s administration, if the U.S. Department of Justice sunsets the federal consent decrees that govern music licensing for the nation’s two largest performance rights organizations. On Thursday, the CEOs for the two nonprofit licensing groups released an open letter explaining what they’d like to see done regarding the consent decrees.
