In a judgment issued on Tuesday, the court ruled that YouTube has played an “active role” in spreading the [user-uploaded] content. The court found that the site’s “predefined categories” directly influence user viewing behavior.  In fact, the platform actively analyzes users’ browsing habits and tailor-makes content suggestions.
