Wary of Trump, ALA Joins Coalition Advocating Key Tech Principles

The American Library Association has joined a coalition of 18 stakeholders to articulate a set of tech “rights and opportunities” for the incoming Trump administration. In a statement, released December 6, ALA officials said the coalition is designed to advocate for “sound national technology and media policy.”

One of the biggest challenges facing copyright owners in grappling with the rapid development of generative AI technology, apart from a murky legal status, has been market failure, as discussed here in previous posts.
