New lead MEP could shift talks on contentious copyright bill 

More rifts have opened up in the European Parliament’s negotiations over a contentious copyright law overhaul after a new MEP stepped in to lead on talks. Voss is tasked with sifting through close to 1,000 amendments that MEPs proposed to change the copyright bill in time for a vote in the Parliament’s Legal Committee (JURI) in October.
